Book Review – Elizabeth and Zenobia by Jessica Miller

By Lucy on 29/04/2017

Elizabeth and ZenobiaElizabeth Murmur is moving with her unusual friend Zenobia to Witheringe House, the place where her dad grew up with his sister Tourmaline. Zenobia loves it and is convinced that there is a Spirit Presence in the East Wing, where they are forbidden to go. She tries to contact it using a book on clairvoyance, but Elizabeth is relieved when it doesn’t work. But then strange things start to happen at Witheringe house, especially in the East Wing.

What I thought: This book was engaging and interesting from the start. I really liked the character of Zenobia. The story seemed to move along and there were no boring bits.

I’d recommend this book for ages 11+ because of the use of an Ouija board and and contact with spirits.
